A Study on Immunization Return-Rate of Infant

Abstract
This Survey was Conducted to find the out the relation of the general factors of mothers and the immunization return rate of infants in Seoul.
For this study it was Chosen as the sample that infants (174 persons in each Health Center registered at the municipal Health Center J and the private Health Center E, from January I to October 30. 1971.
The result of this survey were as follows:
1. In the age distribution of mothers, the group aged 25-29 years was marked the largest proportion with 46.3%, and the average age ot mothers was 29.4 years.
2. In the educational level, both the primary Schooled group and the middle Schooled group were equally the largest proportion with 33.9% and the Uneducated group was 8.4%.
3. Of attendant at diclivery, relatives placed first with 51.7% and doctors came next with 41.1%.
4. Of fathers Occupation, merchant placed first with 42.0% and the Unemployed were 10.3%.
5. By order of birth. the first-born infants led the thers with 41.1%, The rate of Sex distribution shows that the male were 52.9% and the female were 47.1%.
6. In the distribution of registered age, 2 month old infants placed first with 23.0%, By the registered Calendar month, the april get the highest rate with 18.1%.
7. In the return rate of DPT immunization, J Health Center shows 100% at the primary vaccination, 91.4% at the secondary and 81.1% at the last.
E Health Center shows that 8.1% had never vaccinated, at the primary vaccination; 91.9%, at the secondary: 72.4%, at the last: 50.6%.
By the age distribution of mother, the rate of 20¡­24 aged Group was highest at J center and 25¡­29 aged Group at E center.
As a whole, the higher educational level of mothers, the better immunization return rates. By order of birth the first born infants placed first in the rate and the rate difference between the male-female showed noting peculiar.
8. In polio immunization return rate, J health center shows 79.3% at the primary, 63.2% at the secondary. 50.6% at the last. E Center shows 91.1% at the primary, 80.5% at the Secondary, 68.4% at the last.
In D.P.T.Case, E Health center was lower than J health center in return rate but in plio. case, E Health center was higher than J health center.
By the age distribution of mothers. the rate of 20-24 aged group placed first with 55% in J health center and 30-34 aged group with 73.7% in E center.
By order of birth the fourth born infants placed first in J center and the Second-born infants in E health center at Immunization return rate.
The rate difference in Sex distinction is Similiar to the D.P.T.Case.
9. In the immunization return rate of infants by monthly age.
D.P.T.: In J health center 4 month old infants of finished vaccination placed first with 19.0%, and in E health center 8-12 month old infants with 19.0%.
Polio.: 8-12 month old infants showed the highest return rate with 13.8% in J health Center and 21.8% in E health Center.
10. The rate of BCG immunization was 57.5% in J center and in E center no more than 2.9%.
11. The rate of smallpox immunization was 18.4% in J health center and 15.5% in E health center.
12. In the rate of measles immunization, there was no one who had ever vaccinated in J center and E center shows the very low rate with 4.1%.
